WOW WOW WOW. Are we tired? 3 days of Festival, talking, answering questions and promoting the business. We were exhausted after showing around 3000 people through the boat. Yes, I said 3000. We have been elated by the fabulous comments and feedback from our visitors. We only took their comments for half of Sunday and you can see some of them below. We are also taking bookings, some from visitors to the Festival.
On Sunday morning we had a great surprise when we won the Lionel Monk Award. This is a prestigious award for the best commercially built boat at the Festival as judged by the Internal Waterways Association. We need to find a place to display the salver.
We met some lovely people, visitors and boaters alike. A special mention to Graham, one of the volunteers, who cleaned our bottom, as seen in the picture. Also pleased that Bob has recovered from driving the organiser’s buggy into the canal !
A special thanks to Gill and Spence for their invaluable assistance on Saturday and Sunday. We would have been swamped without you and Spence’s coffee is good too !
Thank you to the entrants of the competition. Winner of 1st prize is Mrs J Pritchard.; 2nd prize winner is Mr/Ms R Dickison. Both are looking forward to taking their cruises.
We are now on our way to The Thames to pick up new guests.
