What a lovely three days, a great experience to be introduced to canal boating.
The countryside, cuisine and the company were splendid. The food in particular was outstanding – Thank you.
Manning the locks was a good learning experience

+ Buen Camino!
28th March to 19th April, 2019 Warwick to Kingston-0n-Thames.
We have just enjoyed a wonderful 22 days on Kailani, as the route went right through from Warwick to Kingston-on-Thames.
It was like an adventure for us as we had never been on the Grand Union Canal before, but had only visited places on the canal on days out in the past.
This is the third time we have travelled on Kailani, and it is like visiting special friends when we meet Gordon and Dorenda again, and we also get 5 star treatment, so we get the best of both worlds!
Thank you both for making sure we had everything we needed to make our holiday perfect!

Excellent! Best holiday experience. It was even better than we expected. The beautiful weather at the beginning set the scene for 6 wonderful days.
We have had a lot of laughs, eaten too much exceptional food and seen the most amazing sights on the canals and Thames.
The voyage up the Thames was unforgettable, a unique experience.
We cannot thank Dorenda and Gordon enough for being the hosts “with the mostest”. They have looked after us above and beyond any other hosts – the food, the wine, the friendship and the laughs!
We can’t wait to tell all our friends about what a great time we have had on the Kailani.

I was so excited before coming on this holiday. I thought that it could only be a disappointment. Not at all, it exceeded our highest expectations.
The beauty of the canals, the fresh green of the landscape, the bird song, the scent of hawthorn and bluebells, the gentle chugging of the boat and all this in the middle of the Metropolis. Extraordinary!
Your kindness and consideration was much appreciated. The food was amazing! Huge variety, absolutely delicious, imaginative and profuse. I’ve never eaten so well in my life.
The beds are comfy and it is so peaceful being rocked to sleep.
Thank you so much.

A slow gentle p[ace to be able to relax and unwind and take it all in. A fabulous start to our English holiday.
Thank you both for working non stop to make everyone happy and especially Dorenda for having to work around everyone’s whims and peculiarities with food. You are a marvel.
Thank you again

“I’ve grown accustomed to it now – locking up and locking down” – the Golden Windlass (thank you so much).
Took us through 70 locks all the way across the watershed from Newbury to Bradford on Avon.
Will long remember the springtime flowers, glorious Wiltshire landscapes and bird song galore (including the cuckoo). Red Kites soaring above, and ducklings and cygnets on the water.
Thank you D & G for making it all possible.
May Kailani long continue to give so much pleasure to so many people.
